Romano Prodi “In the teaching of entrepreneurship, the “learning by doing” component is particularly important. JADE is a very concrete example of such an initiative and is building bridges between the worlds of education and training on the one side and work and enterprises on the other.”

Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission in his Cover Letter for the Annual Report 2003 of JADE

Wallace Baker Participating in JADE activities teaches young people how to work in teams, speak in public, organize projects and how to train and motivate others. Many of these skills are not taught very well, if at all, in our schools and universities. In JADE, the opportunities to do all these things are provided and required. Teaching by students motivates other students through infectious enthusiasm and friendship much better than often distant, theoretical, professors in conventional schools however brilliant. JADE activities remove students from theory into reality, where their theoretical education is inserted into specific situations of real business life.

iCUE has turned round my University career. It has given me purpose and the chance to test myself with real risk and I love every minute of it. I can’t wait to get out into the big bad world after university and use it, which is so much better than being scared like before.
Ryan Connolly, Human Resource Director 2007-2008, iCUE

I joined WBC as I was looking for work experience in a business/legal environment. But I found so much more… Not only I earned my first money as a legal professional at WBC, I also met wonderful people, who helped me to overcome very difficult problems. I think the fact that I am still at WBC after more than a year says it all. Of course, learning how to run a business and developing contacts are very important aspects of working in a Junior Enterprise.
Eugene Vassyliev, Legal Manager 2005-2007, Westminster Business Consultants

A real business environment with strong, professional, young entrepreneurs in a support network that spans Europe. This is the real education!
Moaki Castro, Managing Director 2007, Westminster Business Consultants

At first, I joined the JE network in a French business school. I found the idea so thrilling that I decided to build my own JE during my studies in the UK. It enabled me to become very quickly an active actor of the business world and a true entrepreneur. It taught me to work in a team, lead it, and to never give up! The Jade UK network is a unique opportunity to learn from other members, meet potential clients and therefore develop your own JE.
